Lidia Mascolo

Intern

Lidia Mascolo is an interior designer and design researcher with a background in Product Design from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera (Milan). Alongside her professional experience in interior design, she has collaborated with the Academy on research, teaching support, and exhibition projects, developing expertise in exhibition design, cultural heritage, and design prototyping. 


She was a trainee researcher within the
PNRR JERUS-IT-ARTS (Between Italy and Jerusalem: Retracing Music and Arts Networks, Enhancing Education and Promoting Cultural Heritage Preservation) project. Her work focused on the conception and production of the exhibition Butterfly Effect: Art & Design for Gaza, contributing to research on contemporary Palestinian artists, artwork selection, exhibition planning, documentation, catalogue development, artist biographies, and the prototyping of exhibition materials through digital fabrication technologies. She also supported the technical, logistical, and installation phases of the exhibition, gaining interdisciplinary experience at the intersection of design, cultural heritage preservation, and international research collaboration.
