Andrea Zanella
He graduated in History of Modern Art at the Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis on Francesco Trevisani and the Arcadian Theatre and specialised at Paris X Nanterre with a thesis on Trompe-l'oeil in 18th century France.
He has published articles and essays on Italian and French artists from the 18th century to the present and curated exhibitions on various topics. From 2010 he worked on the design of the ‘Musée Jean-Honoré Fragonard’ in Grasse, which he directed until 2016. From 2016 to 2019 he curated the project for the refurbishment of the Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He has taught History of Art and Museology at the academies of fine arts in Sassari, Lecce and Naples and since 2022 at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
