Founded in 1995 by the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, the Magnificat is the only accredited music school inside Jerusalem’s Old City. Since 2005 it has served as an overseas branch of the “A. Pedrollo” Conservatory of Vicenza, adopting its full conservatory curriculum (levels I–III) in piano, organ, voice and related disciplines.
The Institute currently enrols around 200 students—children to adults—taught by 28 faculty members from Christian, Muslim and Jewish backgrounds. Its mission is to provide inclusive, high-level musical training, enable academic and professional careers in music, and engage both local and international communities through concerts and educational outreach.
