A workshop to discover an ancient and remarkable musical instrument, led by Walter Chinaglia

On 13th November, the workshop opens with a lecture, also available via streaming. On 14th November, in-person participants will experiment directly with the reconstructed instrument, exploring its sound in relation to performance practices documented in historical and musical sources.

The workshop is curated by Walter Chinaglia, an internationally renowned researcher and builder of historically informed pipe organs and harpsichords using traditional materials and techniques, and moderated by musician and professor Claudia Caffagni.
