Angela Sanna

Angela Sanna is a contemporary art historian, born in Québec (Canada) and educated between Italy and France. She obtained her DEA, PhD, and the national qualification for Maître de conférence at the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She is Professor of Contemporary Art History at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She has published books and essays in Italian, French, English, and Spanish, collaborating with scholars, publishers, institutions, and journals in France, Germany, and Mexico. Within the Jerus-It-Arts project, she is conducting research on major figures of art in and for Palestine between the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, with particular focus on Sliman Mansour, Mona Hatoum, and Khalil Rabah, exploring the relationship between art, resilience, identity, and resistance.
