Conservatorio Di Musica Giovan B. Martini - Bologna

The G.B. Martini Conservatory of Bologna officially opened its courses on December 3, 1804. In 1839, one of its most prominent figures was Gioachino Rossini, who was appointed "Honorary Perpetual Consultant."
Today, as an AFAM (Higher Education in Art and Music) institution, the Conservatory offers, in addition to First and Second Level Academic Courses, First and Second Level Master’s Programs and Doctoral degrees.
Its educational offerings are comprehensive and diverse, covering composition, performance, sacred music, electronic music, jazz, and pop rock. The Conservatory proudly upholds a centuries-old tradition while remaining open to contemporary innovations.

Donatella Pieri

Donatella Pieri

Donatella Pieri holds a diploma in piano and a degree in Architecture. She is the General Coordinator of the Scientific Committee and the calls for proposals related to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) at the Bologna Conservatory. She previously served as Director of the same Conservatory and as President of the Modena Conservatory. She is currently President of the AGO Modena Cultural Factories Foundation and President of the Commission for Cultural Activities and Heritage of the Association of Foundations and Savings Banks (Spa)

Loredana Flego

Loredana Flego

She holds a BA in Sociology, a MA in Political Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Criminology.
She’s been working as contracted expert for the European Commission in the evaluation of projects related to EU funding programs in research, innovation and internationalization in the fields of Digitalization, Training, Culture, Circular Economy and Applied Technologies. Former Coordinator of NRRP projects led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Culture, she’s been managing projects in full cycle to support both public and private entities, both local and international bodies.

Luciano Scarpaci

Luciano Scarpaci

Luciano Scarpaci holds a double Master in Piano, a Bachelor in Historical Humanities and a Master in Historical Sciences. He specialised in Library Science at the Vatican School of Library Science of the Vatican Library. He has worked at the National Central Library in Rome (BNCR), the Institute of Music Bibliography (IBIMUS), the International Academy of Music and Art (AIMART), the Vatican Library and the “Felice Evaristo Dall'Abaco” Conservatory of Music in Verona. He is currently the Library Manager of the Library and Historical Archive of the Conservatorio “G. B. Martini” in Bologna.

M.L. Baldassari

A harpsichordist, musicologist, I am a professor of historical keyboards at the Conservatory of Bologna. I follow artistic research paths that combine performance and research on sources and in archives. I have often addressed issues related to religious music and its development in monastic orders.

Andrea Parisini

Andrea Parisini completed his music studies at the Conservatory and University of Bologna. As a researcher, he developed collaborations with the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna’s Archive and the Theaters of Modena and Reggio Emilia. His essays have been published in journals such as Quadrivium and Musica/Realtà and his interests range from the Music History and Aesthetics in the modern age to the Didactics of listening.

Paolo Quilichini

Paolo Quilichini

Paolo Quilichini, graduated in Piano, Composition, and Electronic Music, I specialized in Film Music under Ennio Morricone. I teach Theories and Techniques of Harmony, Repertoire Analysis, Theory of Harmony and Analysis, and History of Applied Music. I am a member of SIMC (Italian Society for Contemporary Music), and my compositions are published by various publishers. I also write fiction, and my genre short stories are published in specialized anthologies.

Luca Romagnoli

Luca Romagnoli

Luca Romagnoli is a piano professor at the “G. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna. Alongside his successful career as a performer, he is also active as a speaker and musicologist, collaborating with journals and magazines as well as with the Department of Music and Performing Arts at the University of Bologna. He has worked as Artistic Director for various cultural and concert initiatives, including with ATER – Ferrara.

Piero Venturini

Piero Venturini

Piero Venturini was born in Rimini in 1960. He graduated in Piano, Choral Music, and Composition under the guidance of Tito Gotti and Ivan Vandor at the Bologna Conservatory. He has published articles for the online journal Analitica and for the journal Analisi e Teoria musicale.

Gabriele Fancellu

Gabriele Fancellu

Gabriele Fancellu, scholarship holder for the PNRR project “JERUS-IT-ARTS”, was born in Sassari in 2002. He obtained the 1st Level Academic Diploma in Guitar in his city in October 2024. He is currently attending the first year of the 2-year Academic Guitar course at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna.

Oscar Franco

Oscar Franco

I have a degree in Philosophy and continued my studies with Science of Religions at the University of Padua and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. I studied in Paris at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE – PSL) with an Erasmus scholarship, focusing on Arabic philosophy and literature, Semitic philology, and Jewish thought. I am currently studying Electronic Music at the G. B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna.
