Maria is one of the musicians involved in the JERUS-IT-ARTS project. She is 20 years old and lives in Jerusalem. The project gave her the chance of a study period at the Conservatory "A. Pedrollo" in Vicenza during summer 2025.

Maria is studying vocal chamber music and theatre in Vicenza. «Honestly, it felt like a dream to be abroad studying in Italy. For me Italy it’s not just a country, but the birthplace of music and the art of singing» she said, answering a question on how she met the project and the opportunity to move to Italy.
The new language and culture were an obstacle in her first period in Vicenza, but the local conservatory’s community helped Maria to integrate. «Students, teachers and people in the office were so welcoming, they were helping me. I really felt this warmth of people and I really felt in the place after one month. It was really kind and nice from them.»
And what are her dreams and goals? «I want to complete my bachelor’s and master’s degree and eventually start teaching, because I really love kids. I also have the small dream to conduct a choir. In general, I would like to participate in international projects, vocal projects, to perform somewhere abroad in Europe and also in my home country.»
